Man the weather is miserable here in Chicago. I love Chicago, but this shit gets old. I made it out to LA last weekend to visit my old buddy Ryan. It was nice out there. Ryan is living the dream. Check out his website if you get a second.

Here’s my first mix I made expressly for Bird and Whale. It bounced around in my head and on my laptop for a little while. A trip to Amoeba and Turntable Lab in LA help me put the finishing touches on this bad boy. Not sure if introductions are necessary. I guess it’s more of the same as far as what music made the cut: African, Jamaican, and Brazilian music for the most part. I put it into two different formats. The first is just one long mp3. With this one you can listen to it straight from the website or drop the entire thing on your iPod or whatever. The zip file is the same mix divided up into the 19 individual tracks with artist and track information that you can throw into iTunes (although I think my iTunes screwed up and didn’t include the track info). Hope you enjoy it.
