Damon added two more mixes to what is now revealed as a series of mixes. As I listen, patterns start to form. It’s always pretty interesting to trace the lines that weave the music together in a solid mix, but with Damon’s selections those lines seem more distinct. I’m not sure if it’s intentional or not but, I find myself being really aware of the era and cultures that the various music stemmed out of. It very well may be that Damon’s simply putting together music that he enjoys, but it seems like there is a larger narrative at work.

I’ve got some good news. I got the line up locked in for the Bird & Whale Showcase on May 27th @ Sonotheque here in Chicago. I’m ecstatic about it.
