DIAMOND AGE – You and Me and the Rest of Us
-
I think the new mix by the Diamond Age, YOU AND ME AND THE REST OF US, is probably his best to date. It holds together remarkably well, especially considering the focus is psychedelic rock. Not the easiest genre with which to put together a cohesive mix.As I mentioned in my last post, I’ve got gig a tonight and next Tuesday doing video projections for Jeff Parker’s Trio at Rodan. This came about because I mentioned to Selina Trepp (who normally does real time visuals with the group) that the DVD Rodan played in her absence was horrible. She pretty much said, “Well, you think you can do better? I could use a substitute from time to time.” And there you have it. Really excited about what I’ve come up with video-wise and delighted to be doing something on the visual front.
